Background:
NCA Tanzania Country office was established in october2005, Gender based violence and HIV/AIDS and Most vulnerable children, are key hindrance to development and source of Deprivation and marginalization.
The evaluation aims at assessing the implementation process and outcome of different interventions carried out by partners , also it highlighted changes in the environment that affect rates of Gender –based violence , HIV/AIDS and identify good practices which will help to improve performance.
Purpose/ Objective:
1. Evaluate and asses the ability of the activities that are implemented under Gender based Violence in order to contribute towards emancipation of women rights and elimination of all forms of GBV
2. Identify and document factors contributed towards GBV
3. Evaluate planned activities if they can strengthening government structure in order to address and fight GBV
4. Evaluate and propose ways which NCA Tanzania can contribute in strengthening local women communities participating in the government process

Key Findings:
GBV is mult-faceted . there is a need to tack it in different ways
FGM
Programme has been effective in reaching stake holders in order to eliminate gender based violence
Programme succeeded at transiting a large number of communities for supporting FGM to be hesitant about it
Traditional birth attendants agreed that awareness campaigns had at least changed ways of severed the genitalia and they have new system of clipping the tipoff clitoris
Tamara Campaign
Main objectives of Tamara campaign are yet to be achieved
Lack of sexual education
Recommendations:
Partners need tailor made capacity building interventions on the formulation of projects objectives
NCA Tanzania to support capacity building partners on project design monitoring and advocacy programmes
Partners should adopt a programmatic approach that ensure sufficiency and alternative link
HIV/Most vulnerable children care and support Projects /programmes should improve on their community support initiatives for purpose of continuity and sustainability.
NCA Tanzania should initiate and encourage partners to partners activities so as to enhance mutual learning, synergy and Network. Aim is to create link between resource partner and community.
NCA to institute systematic partnership selection criteria
NCA should ensure documentation and reporting of all partnership engagement.
