The EAF-Nansen Project "Strengthening the Knowledge Base for and implementing an Ecosystem Approach to Marine Fisheries (EAF) in Developing Countries" stems from the Nansen Program (NP) a long-standing partnership between Norad, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) owner of the Research Vessel (R/V) Dr. Fridtjof Nansen on behalf of the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Norwegian Institute of Marine Research (IMR), and the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department (FAO FI).
