Marco Albani (Moderator)

Dr. Marco Albani is the Director of the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020 and a member of the Executive Committee of the World Economic Forum, where he oversees the Secretariat of the Alliance, an over 140-member multistakeholder platform for public and private cooperation around deforestation free commodity supply chains.  Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Marco spent ten years with McKinsey & Company, where he was one of the founders of their Sustainability Practice, and with Harvard University.  Marco holds a Ph.D. in Forest Science from the University of British Columbia, Canada, and a Laurea in Forest Sciences from the University of Florence, Italy.

Sabine Miltner

Sabine Miltner joined the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation in 2016 to oversee the foundation’s work on decoupling food production from ecosystem degradation by aligning market incentives with conservation outcomes. As program director for the foundation's conservation and markets work, Sabine leads the Conservation and Financial Markets, Forests and Agricultural Markets, and Oceans and Seafood Markets initiatives. Sabine’s career has spanned the public and private sectors with a focus on sustainability/climate change and developing countries.

Prior to coming to the foundation, she was the group sustainability officer of Germany-based Deutsche Bank AG and worked with senior management on the step-wise integration of sustainability and financial goals. Previously, Sabine was a director at the Institute of International Finance (IIF), leading the work to improve conditions for private investment in developing countries. She started her career as an economist at the International Monetary Fund working in Africa, Eastern Europe and the Caribbean. Sabine earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and a M.A. in economics (Diplom Volkswirt) from the University of Mannheim, Germany.

Carole Ferguson

Carole Ferguson joined CDP as Head of Investor Research after completing a MSc in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment at UCL. Prior to joining CDP, Carole has had extensive experience of working in finance and sustainability working as a fund manager at Societe Generale Asset Management and prior to that for institutions such as JP Morgan, Flemings and BZWIM. She holds an MBA from London Business School.
