Rosa Maria Vidal Rodriguez

Msc. Deputy Director, Pronatura Sur

Rosa Maria Vidal is the founder and current deputy director of Pronatura Sur in southern México. In the last 20 years this NGO has influenced social and environmental landscapes by integrating multiple tools of forest management, social organization and market chains which increase benefits from forest, and environmental services.
She is member of the National Technical Council of REDD+ and coordinator of GCF for México and of the REDD Offsets Working Group (ROW) who developed a series of recommendations for jurisdictional REDD+ for the AB32 regulations in California, and is also collaborating with the FCPF she is also founder of several NGOs and finance mechanism related with facilitating transitions to low emissions and sustainable development.

Ms. Rodriguez will attend Parallel D1 Building jurisdictional frameworks for REDD+ and low emissions development: Challenges and opportunities.
