Brazil has over the last ten years become a global forerunner in curbing deforestation. Learn more about this country’s effort to curb deforestation at CICERO in Oslo on October 28.

The official Oslo REDD Exchange 2013 conference dinner will take place at the Ekeberg Restaurant on October 29th. Conference participants will be transported by bus from Hotel Radisson Blu Scandinavia.

At the Oslo REDD Exchange 2013 Results Bar, 15 organizations and projects have been chosen to present results from their excellent work that has been carried out with Norad support during the last years. 

Deforestation contributes to an approximate of 15 percent of the world’s CO2 emissions, and threatens the livelihood of millions of the world’s most vulnerable people. Since 2007 Norway has contributed with NOK three billion annually to change this situation.
