Pradeepa Bholanath

Head, Planning and Development, Guyana Forestry Commission

Pradeepa Bholanath has been employed at the Guyana Forestry Commission since 2002, and has held the position of Head of Planning and Development at the GFC for the past 7 years. Prior to 2006, she held the position of Environmental Economist at the GFC. She is involved in overseeing the execution of work on REDD+ which is coordinated by the GFC at the national scale in Guyana. She has represented Guyana at several national, regional and international forum on matters relating to forestry, climate change and REDD+. Her work at the GFC includes coordination of the MRV System implementation, and other related technical aspects of REDD+ such as Reference Levels setting. She has worked with a number of project supported by international partners including ITTO, IDB, WWF and the FAO.
