A UNDP publication featuring 22 extensive case studies on leading community-based forest management initiatives, as well as associated analysis and lessons learned. Organised around four themes - Sustainable Forest Livelihoods, Forest-Friendly Agriculture, Forest Restoration and Forest Protection.

The book draws from the experiences of Equator Prize winners to illustrate how critical indigenous peoples and community-managed forests are to the achievement of global climate and sustainable development goals.
