Logo

The logo is the cornerstone of Norad's visual identity. Consistent and correct use of the logo is important for effective visual communication and profiling of the organization.
The Norad logo should always be used in connection with the organization's activities.

The Norad logo should always be used in connection with the organization's activities. The look of the logo, proportions and colors must not be altered. The name is written with a capital N, followed by lowercase letters: Norad.

There are three permissible versions of the logo. The colored version may be used on white or light background. The white logo is to be used on colored and dark backgrounds. The black version should only be used when monochrome print must be used due to production.

The colors are important for recognition of the logo, and should not be changed. Strong contrast between the logo and background is desirable. The positive versions (color/black) shall have a white or nearly white background. The negative version (white) may be used on a solid background or an image. If the logo is placed on an image, it is important to make sure that the background is not “busy”, and that the logo is clearly visible.

If Norad is the main sender of the publication, the logo must appear on the front cover. It has a fixed location and size (9 mm diameter circle/sphere) on the formats A4, book format (170 x 240 mm) and A5. On other formats, the logo size and position must be adapted.
