Governance and economic development

Norwegian development assistance shall contribute to economic and social growth in low-income countries. Norad works to create better framework conditions for the private sector, strengthen tax systems, and improve public financial management. These efforts are particularly important at a time when aid budgets are being cut in several parts of the world.
