NGO seminar on climate-resilient development

Accelerating climate change means that development actors in all sectors increasingly need to mitigate the risks climate change poses to their programs.

The Norwegian government has also committed to triple its support to climate adaptation by 2026 and will expect its development partners to contribute more to climate adaptation. Join Norad for a learning exchange on climate-resilient development.  Norad has invited three organizations to present how they have been working to make their development projects more climate resilient and contribute more to communities’ resilience to climate change.

Presentations will be followed by group discussions and a plenary debate, so come prepared to discuss and share!

We’ll look at practical tools that can be shared with each other, how we can assess and manage climate risk, and how we can better integrate climate change adaptation in our future projects.  This will be an arena for exchanging experiences, including successes and challenges, so that we can learn together.

The first part of the seminar (presentations) will be streamed. Group discussions will only be open for participants attending physically, and Norad encourages participants to attend the seminar at our offices.
