How can Norwegian development administration succeed in putting disability inclusion policies into practice?

A new evaluation commissioned by the Department for Evaluation in Norad finds that the Norwegian government and partners have faced challenges in transforming good intentions into practice with regards to disability inclusion.

On December 2nd, Bjørg Sandkjær, State Secretary, Bård Vegar Solhjell, Director General, Norad and Marit Sørheim, Executive Director, Atlas Alliance, will comment on the evaluation findings and how to proceed.

Over 1 billion people experience some form of disability today, of which more than 80 percent live in developing countries and are disproportionally represented among the poor.

In connection with the UN International Day of Persons with disabilities, the Department for Evaluation in Norad invites you to a presentation of the findings from the evaluation ‘Norway’s inclusion of persons with disabilities in development cooperation’, and a discussion on the way forward.
