A KAP (Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice) study on WASH projects as carried out in seven districts (Bilchiragh, Maimana, Dawlat Abad, Gurziwan, Khwaja Sabzpoosh, Pashtoonkot, and Sherin Tagab) of Faryab Province with the aim of evaluating the DACAAR WASH project’s impact. The approach we used in this survey was to measure the level of knowledge, attitude and practices about hygiene before and after implementing WASH projects in the same areas. 'Hygiene' in this context refers to practices such as washing hands, safe handling and safe use of water and food, personal hygiene and environmental hygiene.
