Tjokorda Nirarta Samadhi

Dr. Samadhi a Deputy Head of UKP4, which supports the President of Indonesia to monitor and facilitate the delivery of national priority development programs. In 2011, he was appointed a member of the Indonesia REDD+ Task Force, and served as Chair of Working Group on Moratorium Monitoring until end of June 2013.

Prior to his current assignment, Dr. Samadhi was under UNDP contract as a Strategic Planning Advisor and Head of Papua Accelerated Development (PADU) Advance Team (2009). He accumulated various experience in governance reforms during the post disaster reconstruction operation in Aceh and Nias in his tenure as the Chief Operation Officer/Deputy Head of BRR Nias Regional Office (2006-2009).

Dr. Samadhi gained his doctorate in Urban Design from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2001, a master degree in Urban Planning from Bandung Institute of Technology in 1991, and a bachelor degree in Architecture from Brawijaya University in 1988.
