Sonya Dewi Santoso

Sonya Dewi is with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) since 2005. Her research foci are: the analysis of pattern of tree cover changes and their drivers, and quantification of ecosystem services and biodiversity in the landscape of forest and agricultural mosaics. She has been actively involved in REDD+ discussions, particularly in the development of peatland strategy, national level REDD+ strategy and MRV roadmap of Indonesia. She has been actively facilitating wide applications of Land use planning for low emission development strategy (LUWES) tool to support Locally Appropriate Mitigation Action (LAMA) planning in land-based sector in Indonesia and elsewhere.
