Executive Director, Kitanglad Integrated NGOs

Ms. Canoy leads the Kitanglad Integrated NGOs (KIN), based in the South Philippines. KIN is a dedicated advocate for the environment and a recognized partner that represents the interests and aspirations of the Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of Mindanao.

In 2007, Ms. Canoy was accepted as a fellow of the Asian Institute of Management and Team Energy Bridging Leadership Fellows Program, and helped organize the first ever Environmental Summit in Bukidnon. The Summit resulted to province-wide declaration for the environment agreed upon by different sectors--from government, indigenous peoples, the academe and NGOs. In 2011, as a Synergos Senior Fellow, Ms. Canoy scaled up her advocacy work strengthening the State and Indigenous Peoples initiatives in environmental conservation from KKP to Mts. Kimangkil, Kalanawan, Sumagaya and Pamalihi Ranges of the neighboring Higaonon tribe of Misamis Oriental (KKSP).
