Francesca de Gasparis

Francesca has run the Europe office of GBM since its inception in 2005 after GBM founder Wangari Maathai was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2004. She has worked in the environment sector for over ten years, after a previous career in IT, and has a master’s degree in environment and community. As well as running the Europe office, her work is focussed on international advocacy, policy and GBM’s climate change strategy. She has worked with numerous NGOs in Africa on sustainable development and a holistic environmental approach.
