Elsa Matilde Escobar

Ms. Escobar has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a Master of Science in Mathematics, and specializations in: finances, project management, management of Civil Society Organizations, Female conscience, and socioeconomic and gender analysis. Since 1997 to the present time, Ms. Escobar has been the Executive Director of Fundación Natura Colombia. She is also currently President of Natura Certification, President of the Colombian FSC initiative, President of IUCN Colombian Committee and Vice-president of the Sustainable Agriculture Network.

Ms. Escobar is am a member of the board of directors of Fundación Natura Regional, Rainforest Alliance, Habitat Foundation, Biotrade Fund, Memorandum of Understanding National Natural Parks, Natural Patrimony Fund, and National Environmental Forum.
