André Rodrigues de Aquino

André Aquino has been working at the World Bank for over eight years now, as an environmental specialist, based in Washington DC. He currently works for the Carbon Finance Unit, primarily focused on REDD+ and Sustainable Land Management issues. He has worked in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

At present, his primary geographical focus is Ethiopia, Indonesia, Madagascar and Mozambique.  André holds a Master’s degree from the University of Maryland in Environmental Policy, a specialization in Environmental Law from the Federal University of Belém (Brazil) and a bachelor degree in International Relations from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais (Brazil).
