Building Bridges Between Commodity Roundtables and REDD+, Phase 2. Short name: RT REDD, phase 2

The project will be implemented in Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, Ghana, and Paraguay. The overall goal is to contribute towards reduced deforestation and higher crop and livestock yields in the five countries, and also increased supply of certified palm oil, soy, sugar cane, and beef.

Outcomes

(a) Farms, Forest, and Finance Consortium focused on creating a shared strategy and implementation plans for supporting transition to low emissions rural development (LED-R) in 4 priority jurisdictions (Brazil - 2, Indonesia, Colombia) and building enabling condi tions in five jurisdictions (Brazil 􀍴 2, Indonesia, Paraguay, and Ghana).

(b) Multi-stakeholder dialogues established, plausible LED-R scenarios developed and vetted, and support for LED-R secured from political leaders, the agricultural sector (industrial agriculture and small holders), and financial institutions (public and private) in target jurisdictions.

(c) Initial LED-R implementation tested in 6 target jurisdictions (Brazil-3, Indonesia-2, Colombia).
