Developed reference scenario map of potential areas of Forest Landscape Restoration in Guatemala
Guatemala is developing a National Restoration Strategy which will be supported by a proposed PROBOSQUES Law. This law will potentially leverage public and private sector funding for restoration across a range of land uses including agroforestry systems.
To support this effort, a reference scenario map of the potential areas of Forest Landscape Restoration in the Republic of Guatemala was developed. It was supported by the Restoration Roundtable, which involves central government institutions, decentralized government institutions, civil society, communities and banks.
