In late 2019, IOM’s Director General released the tenth edition of the IOM flagship publication, the World Migration Report 2020. Designed to provide the latest data and information on key migration trends around the world, the report includes analysis of global migration statistics, describes recent developments in global governance of migration as well as outlines regional dimensions of migration and displacement.

The report will be presented by Marie McAuliffe, the head of the Migration Policy Research Division at IOM, and Chief Editor of IOM’s flagship World Migration Report. She has two decades of experience in migration research, policy and practice. Marie is the 2018 recipient of the Charles Price Prize in Demography for outstanding doctoral research in migration studies.

The presentation will be followed by comments from Marta Bivand Erdal, Research Director and Research Professor in Migration Studies at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO). Her research focus is on the dynamics of migration and transnationalism, in both contexts of emigration and of immigration. Marta is a Human Geographer and has conducted research in South Asia (mainly Pakistan), Norway and Poland.

Seminaret blir ledet av Norad og vil foregå på engelsk.
