The year 2030 is less than a decade away and succeeding in the fight against corruption will be critical for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. A large share of Norway’s development assistance goes to states that score red on Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, many of them characterised by highly fragile contexts and with a high risk of corruption.
A new evaluation from the Evaluation Department in Norad has assessed Norway’s anti-corruption efforts as part of its development policy and assistance. In this webinar we will take stock of lessons from Norway’s anti-corruption effort during the last decade, and discuss how Norway’s work on anti-corruption can be strengthened moving forward.
The panel consists of State Secretary Marianne Hagen, professor and anti-corruption expert Tina Søreide (NHH), team leader for the evaluation Charlotte Vaillant and Samuel Kihara from Somalia Humanitarian Fund (OCHA). The debate will be moderated by Eva Bratholm.
