The seminar starts with a light lunch from 11.30, followed by presentations and discussions from 12.00.
In January 2019, UNDP’s Independent Evaluation Office (IEO) presented the report Evaluation of UNDP support to poverty reduction in the least developed countries.

The report is important as it is an analysis and assessment of the core work of UNDP that cross-cuts several sustainable development goals (SDGs), especially goals 1 and 16.
UNDP plays a key role in supporting countries make their development plans a reality - putting societies on a sustainable & inclusive development pathway, managing risks and enhancing resilience, and advancing prosperity and wellbeing. A major objective for UNDP is to mainstream the sustainable development agenda into national plans, strategies and budgets. For this purpose, several new tools for integrated planning and programming are developed. Innovations are seen as important to accelerate implementation and to address gaps.
The seminar will bring together perspectives of UNDP, MFA and Norad, as well as selected external stakeholders, on UNDP’s evolving role as SDG integrator at national and sub-national levels.
UNDP’s Team Leader for SDG Integration, Ms. Laurel Patterson, will present UNDP’s work as SDG integrator.
