Participation in delegation visit to Trinidad & Tobago

In late October Oil for Development participated in a visit to Trinidad and Tobago together with a delegation from Timor-Leste. The aim of the visit was for the Timorese delegation to learn more about how Trinidad and Tobago has managed to build up a substantial gas based industry, local suppliers, as well as excellent training and higher education institutions for the oil and gas sector. Oil for Development participated in order to develop case studies that will be included in the forthcoming module on local content. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago showed a great interest in the Oil for Development initiative, due to having received a number of requests for petroleum related assistance particularly from West Africa. A further exchange of information has taken place after the visit.
