Conference on Oil and Gas in Federal Systems

Oil for Development sponsored a two-day conference on oil and gas in federal systems in Washington, D.C. on March 3rd and 4th 2010. The conference was organised by the World Bank and the Forum of Federations, a global network on federalism that supports better governance through learning among federalism practitioners and experts. The conference was intended to further the debate on the particular political, economic, and social challenges of petroleum exploitation in federal systems.

The conference was attended by representatives from some 15 federal systems with petroleum reserves.
