Ethiopia and Norway sign agreement covering feasibility studies on the Blue Nile

On 30^th of November 2009, the State Minister of Finance and Economic Development of Ethiopia, Ahmed Shide and the Norwegian ambassador Jens-Petter Kjemprud signed an agreement that covers the feasibility studies of Mandaya and Beko-Abo multipurpose projects on the Blue Nile. The project’s overall goal is to develop reliable and environmentally sustainable power supply and improved living standards for Ethiopia and the region.
