William Sunderlin

Principal Scientist – Climate Change, Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)

Sunderlin has conducted research on the following topics in relation to developing country forests: poverty and equity; underlying causes of deforestation; population and migration; macroeconomic Dutch disease; the effect of economic crises; tenure and rights. 

Currently he leads the module on REDD+ subnational initiatives in CIFOR’s Global Comparative Study on REDD+.
