Rachel Butler

Rachel has extensively worked in both the private and public sectors; developing policies and programmes as well as implementing them. She has a proven track record in international development on forestry and timber supply chains, ensuring sustainability goals are met whilst working within commercial realities.

Rachel advises Governments, trade and NGO’s and is now appointed to ITTO’s Trade Advisory Committee. Rachel has travelled extensively particularly in SE Asia. Currently advising the European Timber Trade Federation she is at the forefront of advocating responsible purchasing, and forging partnerships with stakeholders, recently initiating a Global Timber Forum to foster collaboration. 

Ms. Butler will attend Parallel B2: Demand side policies in consumer countries.
