Matilda Walimbe

Matilda Walimbe is a committed development actress who has become very keen in gender mainstreaming into community development. Mrs Walimbe is a member of African Women’s Network for Community Management of Forest (REFACOF) and Coordinator of Regional Civil Society Platform on REDD and Climate Change in Cameroon.

While working at EPDA Cameroon, she is at the frontline of rural women movements amplifying their voices on gender and forest management issues. She is also inspired to bring the rural woman into the participatory processes while seeking new opportunities to empower them to become active in REDD initiatives.
