Boika Mahambi Yela Barthélemy

Technical Assistant in charge of participatory mapping, Natural Resources Network (RéseauResources Naturelles – RRN)

Mr. Barthélemy is a biologist, and has been specializing in GIS and remote sensing since 2002. He began working as Forest Administration Officer, before committing to the advocacy of Congolese civil society and the support of forest community rights in 2003. Mr. Barthélemy is currently working with the coordinating of participatory mapping projects at the Natural Resources Network (RRN), where  the aim is to support forest reform projects (Zoning, Community Forestry, REDD, etc).

Prior to this, he was a member of the NGDO Circle for the Defense of the Environment (CEDEN). In addition to his engagement in RRN, Mr. Barthélemy is a member of the National Steering Committee for Forest Zoning (CNPZ), and is a representative of the civil society in the DRC National REDD Committee.

Mr. Barthélemy will attend Parallel C1 Information for Accountability: Capturing progress and lessons learned from efforts to improve the transparency in spatial data.
