Ahmad Kusworo

Community Forest and Climate Advisor, Fauna & Flora International – Indonesia Program

Mr. Kusworo completed his undergraduate study in agriculture at University of Lampung, Indonesia (1988-1995) and a PhD in anthropology at the Australian National University (2000-2005), and has been involved in environmental campaigns, sustainable livelihood projects, and community forestry initiatives since the 1990s. Up to 2000 Mr. Kusworo was a researcher at ICRAF/World Agroforestry Centre. He joined WCS (Wildlife Conservation Society) from 2004-2005 and WWF (World Wildlife Fund) in 2005-2007.

From 2007 - 2008 Mr. Kusworo worked for UNDP Indonesia as national coordinator, and as national coordinator of an AusAID/ANU project promoting multi-disciplinary research on good governance in Indonesia from 2008 - 2009. In 2009 Mr. Kusworo joined FFI as coordinator of Kalimantan program, and went over as Community Forest and Climate Advisor in 2011, with focus on developing community forest REDD projects in various part of the country and policy engagement on sub/national policy and strategy on climate change mitigation.
