Notification of award: Evaluation of Strategy for Norway’s culture and sports cooperation with countries in the South

Nordic Consulting Group (NCG) won the bid for tender and will execute the evaluation. The main purpose of the evaluation is to analyse and assess Norwegian development cooperation in the cultural field and the sports field with countries in the South under the present strategy during the years 2006-2010.

The evaluation shall contribute to an improvement of the cooperation; the usefulness of the strategy as a guiding instrument shall be assessed, and the possible need for its modification is to be considered. The quality of the work done shall be documented, and the evaluation shall contribute to a learning process. The evaluation will to a great extent be focused upon the Norwegian cooperation with Nicaragua, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, the Palestinian Area and India (“case”-countries). The evaluation shall be conducted in accordance with the prevailing DAC Evaluation Quality Standards.
